I am just a good old boy, born and raise in the country, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good night on the town. I get out of bed every work day, put in an honest and hard day of work, come home, watch the news, and occassionally enjoy a cold beer and a little karaoke.

I love karaoke, and I can hold my own on stage pretty well. I don't drink much at all these days, and I really have a short nerve for slobbering drunks. Well, let's see... I don't really know what to say about myself. I am 24 years old, and I live in Fort Collins in a duplex with my bestfriend and her boyfriend. I'm a second year veterinary medical student at CSU. I just moved up here to Fort Collins, and with the crazy amount of schoolwork I've had, meeting people has been a little tough. Hmmm, To who it may concern.... No....

I never really know what to say about myself, to be perfectly honest. It just seems odd to try and think what to tell people about yourself. It seems best to start simple and expand. First let me say I do have a year old daughter, although she does not live with me, much to my disappointment. My pictures are all of her and I. They are older pictures (since september '09) but they are the only ones I have as I am usually the one taking the pictures. I can be sarcastic and like to poke fun, but I try not to hurt feelings. I can be pretty obnoxious, but who isn't at times? So be prepared for that is all I can say. I am also what most would consider a hopeless romantic. As far as I'm concerned chivelry is not dead yet.

I enjoy reading, television, movies, theatre, music, travel, history, and food.

I love books, and must admit to having a decent collection, although they are restricted to certain genres. I prefer Science Fiction and Fantasy, though I have a large collection of Agatha Christie mysteries. I also tend to keep my textbooks for reference materials. I study history, as a hobby, mostly medieval and WWII. An odd pairing I know. I did say I was a little nerdy.

As for entertainment, I study film and television; I am a huge film buff, I love movies. There arenâ??t many movies I wonâ??t watch. Iâ??m a big fan of British Comedy; as a matter of fact Iâ??m watching Monty Pythons Flying Circus right now. I have a decent collection of movies, lots of B-Movies and animation. I'm sort of a gamer, all types, video games, board games, and an odd facination with RPG/table top games.

As for theatre, I have a great love of Shakespeare, Midsummer Nights Dream is my favorite play (I used to dream of playing Puck, but I'm a terrible actor.) Some of my other favorites are Spamalot, We Will Rock You, and Blood Brothers (had me crying like a little kid, its really powerfull.) A Raisin in the Sun is also a great one.

TRAVEL: Its a big deal to me. I don't always have the money to go, especially to London, my favorite city, or Paris. But I plan for my eventual return.

I have to say though, do me a favor, be a decent civil human being... It may sound rude but it's a must. The right thing to do is to reply, even if its just with a "Sorry, not interested." I really dislike people who think they are too cool, hot, or special to be polite. The ability to be civil, and polite is a must. That is what makes a person cool, hot, and special.

I am one of the most unusual and awesomely weird/random people you may ever meet. Note: I'm not romantically interested in you, so leave me alone. When asking my friend what to write in one of these self-summaries, he responded, "I don't fuckin know man, what makes you different from everyone else?" The first part turned out to be of no help, but the second part sparked my brain a bit.

I am a singer/songwriter/keyboardist. I spent 4 years in Los Angeles studying all three and I take it seriously. Music also seperates me from the usual crowd in what I listen to. I really love music from the 40's-70's, Jazz, Rock, Blues, really anything but the crap I hear in today's stuff. I feel that being creative has also made it easier to be sensitive to people and relate to what they go through. I am a good listener, passionate about what I want, and loyal when people need my help.

I am a person that I think people would want to know but, I am not always sure about that...to clarify, I'm not sure if everyone else is weird/funny or if that is just me. I love to watch people in social settings...not as a voyeur or anything, just to see how different people act in different situations...way better than TV. I play guitar and sing (in a mediocre fashion), get out of the house whenever I can and, really don't stand for any type of fake bullshit....sorry to be blunt but, I don't really have the time or inclination to put up with that at this point.

I'm not like the other guys you'll meet. Trust me, I checked. I'm not painted or carefully wrapped nor do I have a specific list of things you should be. I'm warm and comfortable and the people close to my heart are by far my #1 priority.

I've learned from the long-term relationships I've had that your partner has a dramatic influence on you--how you spend your free time, how happy you feel, etc. I want to be a positive influence in my partner's (your) life. I know how impactful a partner can be, and I want to support you in your dreams, and keep you motivated and make you feel fulfilled. Well, I'm curious about things, I always have been. About how and why things are the way they are, if they can be improved. So, it's no big surprise that I became a researcher, making and studying chemicals. I'm an alien in a foreign culture, which I love. Every day brings little surprises and discoveries, sometimes about some idiom, sometimes about a book that all kids in US read when they were little. I love this sensation, of not taking things for granted. It is exhilarating, there is always something to learn and to understand. Sometimes I feel like time stretches, and each day feels like it is filled to the brim with things to be aware about. It may sound a bit dumb and cheesy, but I am fascinated with a Roman ideal of a warrior-scholar (hence my great respect of Marcus Aurelius). At the same time, I believe that things must be balanced, so I don't take that warrior-scholar stuff too close to heart :-). I'm fully aware that I'm "human, all too human", hence, I'm not taking myself all that seriously. Enjoying the ride, and trying to make people around me a little happier in the process.

Although I do chemistry, I also love math and electrical engineering (if not for chemistry, I would have wound up doing either one). At the same time I'm very interested in psychology, anthropology, and philosophy. I love reflecting on the social structure of our reality (Wittgenstein comes nicely here), I like Nietzsche (reading Gilles Deleuze now :-) and existential philosophy. I'm fascinated by art, although I don't know much about it. I'm self-educating myself on the subject when I have time, currently with the history of surrealism (for example, I love Remedios Varo). Keeping up with the warrior-scholar model, for a while I was doing hourseback riding (english style), then came gymnastics, then climbing and mountaineering and yoga. Besides the physicality of those things, I am fascinated with pushing myself beyond my own limits and exploring the unknown ranges of my psyche. For a while now I do mostly yoga, combined with a few other things.

All in all, existentialism is a great philosophy to live by.

I try to have a good time and enjoy everything that I do. I love outdoor activities and playing games. I like to entertain but I don't like to be the center of attention very often. I am not very talkative unless you get me on certain chains. I am very emotional but keep most of it buried very deep. I like to create and design things and dream big. I have a dog, horses and goats and they are a very big part of my life. I can be a bit of a geek I like comic books and super heros.

I am a guitar player from Montana, though Colorado is my home. I love music and science and anything artsy. I love being in the mountains camping and exploring. I have been a shy person over the years but i've decided im too old for that now. Music is what moves me and keeps me inspired without music i would be lost!

I am a southern democrat... meaning politically i'm in the middle leaning to the left. I like my guns because I like to go to the shooting range, not hunt animals, or kill people... honest. I like hiking through nature on a regular basis and I hope to keep doing that once I get back in school (going to grad school for my M.S. in Geology). I'd like to start camping at least one weekend out of the month, but i don't know how that will work out.

I like fixing things, which means I would rather not call the repair man if I can help it. And if I do have to call someone else to fix something, I'll be looking over their shoulder the whole time to try and learn what to do.

I try to be very self reliant; this includes cooking, cleaning, repairing, maintaining the car/house/other stuff, sewing (I have basic hand and machine sewing skills), crocheting (I am in the midst of learning techniques from YouTube), I cut my own hair (more to just save money and I only like my hair short, for now).

I am habitual, I like to have some structure to my day when I'm not in school, generally the only things I'll keep regular are the times that I wake up, eat, and workout. But that's generally while I'm alone, if I have other people around to hang out with and such I'll just say screw it.

I dislike talking about myself like this, but I guess its necessary. I'll start with my family then - I'm the sister of two older brothers who raised me to be loud and tough as nails. I'm a busy girl, but I always find time to be good to and close with my friends. I'm a photography student - I specialize as a portrait photographer. I love my dog, and all dogs for that matter. Hmmm, how to scrunch myself into a box and fit myself into a category so I can write a paragraph clarifying who I am to you...something to reach out and make you want to know me? A difficult task and not quite attainable with any of the words I know how to write.
Since i don't think I can write anything that will really let you know who I am, or even give an adequate representation, I will stick with the basics. I'll give a blurry surface shot of things I like and don't like, and maybe someday things will get a little deeper.
I like long nature drives with loud music to random destinations. An afternoon spent searching for the right photogragh... or word. A day spent on a hike, a bike, or a board. I like the way the sun feels beating down on my back on lazy dayz spent lounging by rivers and lakes with good friends and a six pack. I like local breweries, local dive bars and local bands. I like...I need... to laugh. I like pillow talk at 2 in the morning and the way her warm breath feels on the nape of my neck when she tells me her secrets. I like days spent holed up inside because there is no reason to go outside. I love my dog, my bike, and my friends. Oh yeah, I also really like using these... when I write...whatever they are called.
Some of the things I like not to like. I don't like the dead squirrels my roommates cat likes to bring us. I don't like it when I can't find the right words to express how I feel or when I loose touch with who I am and what really matters. I don't like popular culture and what it is telling kids they should be or bigotry, hate and close mindedness. I don't like it when a deep road rash gash gets that green filmy stuff on it.
