I am just a good old boy, born and raise in the country, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good night on the town. I get out of bed every work day, put in an honest and hard day of work, come home, watch the news, and occassionally enjoy a cold beer and a little karaoke.

what can i say hummmm i am just me, i get along with 90% of the people i meet. Mmmmm......om. Ok, here's a starting point I suppose. I consider myself to be down to earth. Confident, yet humble. On the purely aesthetics side I consider myself to be a attractive, and athletic (nothing wrong w/ a little positive self image). I'm a very creative person, so having outlets for my ideas is crucial to my life. I think I'm a very understanding person who always takes the time to listen and truly see others, despite the distractions of my own life. I'm inherently a debater, and love discussing the the world, politics, spirituality, human condition, etc. even if it means playing devil's adovocate. I just feel people grow from engaging in discussions like these. In others I find confidence, patience, and open-mindedness to be things that attract me.
I believe in appreciating the small things in life; the company I keep, a good meal, art, conversation, stories. I am not a superficial person at all, and find it a turn off when people place an over abundance of importance on material possesions. I'm content being single, but also think meeting the right person could only bring more abundance and joy into my life. I am always willing to help out others around me, knowing that someday, I too may need a little help. I think that I am a thoughtful and caring person. I try to keep my friends close and do what I can for them. Hopefully I can find that one special person. Someone that has the same interests as I do and is ready to settle down and make a family. I am ready to get my family started and look forward to watching my child or children grow with life. To be able to teach them what life is about and hope they make the right decisions to become a solid person.

Im currently 22 years old and have lived in ft collins since i was just barely 18. I think its fair to say that a statement that describes me well would be,

I'm originally from Colorado Springs. Currently I am attending school at Colorado State University studying computer engineering. Before moving up to Fort Collins I spent a few years in the military. I like to do anything new and interesting especially if it gets my adrenaline going. I like to watch movies, play video games, go for rides on my motorcycle, go four wheeling, people watching and really anything that is fun or makes me laugh. I am very independent and open-minded. I know when to be serious, but I like to be a kid at heart and I hope that never changes. I think it is hilarious that C++ is listed under languages. I am a geek and proud of it. I am not too big on organized religion, though to each his own. I am a bit spiritual, but when it comes to what happens to me when I die, I am fine with just waiting to see. I am quite picky when it comes to relationships. Stupid people get on my nerves. If you can't carry on a halfway intelligent conversation, we probably won't get along very well. Sorry. School takes up a lot of my time, so if you don't get that or can't handle that, things wouldn't work. I'm also kind of a smart ass, I'm not mean about things but if you can't take a joke or are really uptight, it won't work.

I like to meet new people. I am compassionate and caring about people, especially my friends, and family. I am not a very judgemental person, I believe people can think and do what they want, as long as it does not harm anybody else. I am outgoing and like to try new things, which results in me having too many hobbies. I am a thinker and sometimes analyze too much or take to long to make a decision.

I love driving... If I could, I would probably dive race cars or semi-trucks... because... you know, those have a lot in common. I want to learn everything there is to know about cars but CSU won't let me transfer credits from Front Range so I can't take any classes. At least I know what color transmission fluid is supposed to be and I can change my own air filter. That's more than most of the men I know can do.
I also 4 wheel with a Toyotas-only club in Fort Collins. There are few things like driving up into the mountains and looking out over the world.

I've recently "converted" to Polyamory. I feel that it is irrational to think that there is only ONE person out of over 6 billion that I can be happy with. Monogamy works for some people but not for everyone.
The way I look at it, you wouldn't tell your best friends that they can't have other friends. Why would you have a different standard for your partners? Relationships should be based on honesty and trust, which is what Poly stresses.

My dog and I play the canine sport Flyball (you tube it). I take road trips for this sport and would love to have someone to tag along. I have an Aussie Shepherd, Blue Heeler and Lab mix who was adopted a year ago form the Humane Society. The dog's name is Jenni... Yes, I stole my dog's name for my screen name.

I also LOVE discussing politics. It is even more fun when I disagree with the person I am talking to. I can hold my own in a debate and I like someone who can do the same. Someone not being willing to discuss political issues is almost a deal breaker.

I work in the field of finance, but my passion is for music, especially dance music. Until recently, I had a gig DJing in Old Town Fort Collins on Fridays. It was one of the most fun jobs I've ever had, but I am now taking some time to work in the home studio and make some of my own music. I play the guitar and the djembe, and I recently acquired a small MIDI keyboard, so I'm quasi-learning piano, I guess. :)

I love the outdoors, and anything that involves physical activity. I prefer teamwork over one-on-one, and I can bond with nearly anyone, no matter what kind of person they are, or from what background they come.

I like hiking through nature on a regular basis and I hope to keep doing that once I get back in school (going to grad school for my M.S. in Geology). I'd like to start camping at least one weekend out of the month, but i don't know how that will work out.

I like fixing things, which means I would rather not call the repair man if I can help it. And if I do have to call someone else to fix something, I'll be looking over their shoulder the whole time to try and learn what to do.

I try to be very self reliant; this includes cooking, cleaning, repairing, maintaining the car/house/other stuff, sewing (I have basic hand and machine sewing skills), crocheting (I am in the midst of learning techniques from YouTube), I cut my own hair (more to just save money and I only like my hair short, for now).

I am habitual, I like to have some structure to my day when I'm not in school, generally the only things I'll keep regular are the times that I wake up, eat, and workout. But that's generally while I'm alone, if I have other people around to hang out with and such I'll just say screw it.
